Wine Wise

"Wine Wise" was a name that I used in "James Irvine Wine Consultancy" days right from the early 1980s. As such then it should not be confused with/or associated with the very fine Canberra wine tasting magazine Wine Wise as it has no association whatsovever - only admiration for Lester Jesberg and his work.

We have, as of 1 July 2003, reformed James Irvine Wine Consultancy by bringing in new winemaker consultants under the name "Wine Wise Consultancy" - all part of succession planning.

Joanne Irvine - Joanne gave up sixteen years of nursing; went to the University of Adelaide to gain her winemaking degree, worked two vintages in USA and about five in Australia.

She now makes (and has for some years) the Irvine wines, while attending to consulting clients as well.

James Irvine - Last, and now least, I am there to look after one or two very special, long-term clients, and of course to act as mentor when needed.

In summary then it can be seen that Wine Wise covers the many aspects of the wine industry in a very wide-ranging way. Each winemaker has "special" areas to bring forward, all in a very practical way to match the client needs.
