Following our plan to present the Australian interpretation of classic European Merlot based wines, we now offer this totally new style – Merlot 50% Cabernet Franc 50%.

A wine rare in Australia because of the large percentage of Cabernet Franc yet relatively well known in France, Ferrand, La Consellante of Pomerol with Angelus, Ausone, Canon, in St Emilion carry similar percentages.

The generous proportion of Cabernet Franc adds characteristic violet floral overtones and structure to the softness and rich plum characters delivered by the Merlot. Both varieties blended add complexity and harmony on the palate to this very interesting wine.
