Springhill Merlot

Tasting Notes: 2008

Known as Springhill Merlot after our Eden Valley vineyard from which a portion comes in combination with other Merlots from South Australia. We recognise the need to have an easy drinking, less expensive Merlot that nevertheless shows all the attributes of the Irvine approach in its quality, flavour – an excellent representation of the true Merlot character.

Mostly made from our Irvine Merlot we have used the blender’s skills to meld in Merlot wines from other South Australian districts to create a most pleasant wine at an everyday affordability.

Plums, raspberry, chocolate and a little vanillin oak all beautifully balanced.
